Every morning begins a little something like this in the youwellfit kitchen..
This is basically a quick fire bircher muesli, inspiration from Mr Yotem Ottemlenghi, we read an article asking top chefs for their bircher muesli recipe. The most popular method was to soak your oats overnight.
Yotem preferred to saok his for only 10 minutes, the oats are chewy and the fruit is fresh, we love making this in a jar and shaking it up, throw it in the fridge for 30-40 min (10min is fine but the oats are pretty chewy) an extra half hour allows them to soften a little but still retain their shape and texture.
Combine all in a bowl or jar (except honey). stir or shake (this is why a jar is great) drizzle with honey or maple syrup (optional).
Refrigerate for 10 min up to overnight, depending on how chewy you like your oats.
