This smoothie is a spin off from the regular ones that you’ll find one my website. If you’re familiar with my work, then you’ll already know that I’m partial to some coconut milk. I adore the taste of coconut milk, it’s cheap and cheerful, that’s not the only reason why I drink it though. I love the health benefits that are associated with coconut milk – healthy hearty fats, lowers cholesterol, good source of vitamins and minerals (I won’t bore you with the specifics).
In my humble opinion the key ingredient to a good smoothie is a kick ass sweetener. Our taste buds/brain relish something sweet, so the perfect smoothie should have a natural sweetener i.e banana, mango, pineapple, lychee etc… any fruit that exudes that ultimate sweetness.
This enzyme packed smoothie is suitable for any time of day – treat yourself to a fructose infused beverage to settle a sweet tooth or first thing in the morning. Its low fat as it contains absolutely no nut milk or yoghurt and so simple to make you can do it in your sleep (well……..you know what I mean).
You can incorporate this into just about any dietary need – from weightloss to paleo or raw/juicing.
It’s a wonderful multi-purpose smoothie – one that you’ll keep on rotation (thank me later)
Frozen fruit is recommended to aid thickness.
