Five Spice Brussels Sprouts Walnuts
The best crispy brussels sprouts with flavors perfectly compliment rich and fatty meats like duck, pork, and beef. Oh so addicting!
- 1 lb Brussels sprouts
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1/2 cup fresh pomegranate seeds
- 1/2 cup walnuts
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- Sea salt
- 1 tbsp Five Spice
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Trim ends off Brussels sprouts (or cut them from stalk) and remove any outer yellow leaves. Cut in half. Toss Brussels sprouts with coconut oil and lay flat on a sheet pan. Toss with maple syrup, salt and RawSpiceBar’s Five Spice and roast for about 30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the Brussels Sprouts are crisp on the outside and tender on the inside.
- Add the walnuts to the sheet pan and roast for one minute, until just toasted, and remove sheet pan immediately. Toss with pomegranates to taste. Serve warm.
