Raw Strawberry Tart Recipe
This recipe for my Raw Strawberry Tart is easy and super quick to make, yet still wows the crowd! It’s perfect for a summer dessert with the berries but you could use the base for all manner of fillings.
- 1/2 cup Sunflower seeds
- 1/2 cup Cacao Nibs
- 1/2 cup Almonds
- 1/2 cup Cashew Nuts
- 1/2 cup Coconut Oil
- 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
- Coconut yoghurt
- Fresh strawberries and some raspberries if you want to mix it up!
- To make the base for the Raw Strawberry Tarts simply blitz all the dry ingredients together and then add in the coconut oil (it is better if this is warmed up enough to turn it to liquid) and maple syrup before blitzing one last time. The mixture should be fairly well held together at this point. If it is a bit too dry then add a little more coconut oil, if it is a bit too wet then throw in a few more nuts and seeds. Split the mixture into four tart cases and press down firmly. Pop in to the fridge for several hours, and the coconut oil will cool and harden to hold the mixture together. You can also put them in the freezer for a short while to speed up the process.
- When it comes to serve gently remove the tart bases from the tin having loosened the edges with a knife, and just spoon your coconut yoghurt into the middle, place your berries on top and for an added bit of decadence grate some dark chocolate and lime zest over the top!
